Dennis “Dakota” Johnson began kayaking in high school during a family trip, and he’s loved it ever since. While his normal nine-to-five can get in the way, he’s been determined to travel and raft/kayak wherever he can, whenever he can.
That earned him the nickname of Dennis “Dakota” Johnson, after travelling from Bismark, North Dakota, all the way down the Missouri River to Okoboja, South Dakota, where he then camped out overnight before returning home.
To date, he’s rafted in 19 states, and has more on his not-so-distant future list to try out.
Dennis made Raft The Canyon to teach enthusiastic people like yourself all the necessary, critical information around rafting, kayaking, and being on the water in general.
He’s spent thousands of his own dollars investing in gear over the years, and has a thing or two to say about quality, durability, and how to tell the difference between an investment and a cheap buy.
If you’re ready to raft, kayak, or canoe your way down a more thrilling, outdoor-eccentric lifestyle, Dennis has everything you need to know.
It’s time to start living your life, one river at a time.
