Slot Canyon Hummer Adventures and Colorado River Discovery are proud to provide a package of the top 2 tours in Northern Arizona!  The Half Day Rafting/Secret Canyon package will give you the opportunity to experience the amazing geology and incredible erosion of both Glen Canyon and Waterholes Slot Canyon.  You will experience the relaxing stretch of the Colorado River in the morning followed by an exciting Hummer adventure ride to the secret Waterholes slot canyon in the afternoon.

Trip Description

Your trip will begin at the Colorado River Discovery Welcome Center at 7:00AM to check in and be given a brief orientation. River trips begin with an exciting ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. With the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a motorized pontoon raft for your journey downstream, where you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river found in the western United States.

While underway, your experienced guide will tell the area’s story of soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, former inhabitation by native cultures, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell, and the Colorado River’s modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.

Your trip will also include a stop to view ancient petroglyphs left by Ancestral Puebloan peoples. The Colorado River rafting portion of your trip ends at back at Glen Canyon Dam, where you will board our vehicle for the short ride back to the Welcome Center in Page.

At the end of your rafting trip you will be greeted with a delicious Bistro lunch and given your itinerary for the second portion of your adventure.

The Secret Canyon Adventure will begin at Hummer Adventure Tours at 1:15PM to check in and be given a brief orientation.  The Secret Canyon Adventure begins with a 30 minute thrilling off road Hummer ride over 45 degree rock crawls, sand hill climbs and much more before arriving at the trailhead to Secret Canyon.  With the calming silence, and the beautiful naturally decorated Navajo sandstone walls surrounding you, you will begin a short nature hike to the entrance of Secret Canyon.

You will be guided to and through Secret Canyon by your knowledgeable guide who will tell of the area geography, area plant and animal life, local Native American history, and how the unique slot canyon formations were created.  Inside of Secret Canyon you will enjoy an hour and a half of exploration and photography of the beautiful colors and amazing features of the canyon.  Hummer Adventure Tours limits the tour to 15 people or less in Secret Canyon and 5 people or less per vehicle.  This guarantees you an amazing, private and enjoyable canyon experience free of unwanted noises and crowds.

After another 30 minute Hummer thrill ride back to town, you will end your journey at the Slot Canyon Hummer Adventure Center and leave feeling revitalized, inspired and connected to this amazing portion of the Grand Circle.
